First race of the year and overall I was happy with the results. It was pretty cold in the morning and I stayed warm in the car until about 10 minutes until the race started. Hit the bathroom and got to the starting line. My feet were numb for about a mile and my hands until about mile 4 or 5. Goal was to try and run with the 1:25 pace group which was about 6:30 pace. Stayed with that pace until between mile 10 and 11 when I slowed a little. Ended up finishing 1:25:45 for 6:32 pace. Pleased with how it went and hopefully a start to a good year.

Great race John! Looks like a big half marathon PR and you did it on a much slower course. This should be a great year for you.

Did you meet Scott Keate (scottkeate on the blog) who was pacing the 1:25 group? He's a great guy and runner.

I didn't formally meet Scott, I wish I would have. I hope to try and start running with you guys a little on Saturdays. It scares me a little that I wouldn't be able to keep up with you guys. Your recovery runs are my faster runs.
