Overall, I am happy with race.  My runs havent felt great the past couple of weeks, so I didn't know what to expect coming in.  Was hoping to run in the low 1:20's.  Ended up at 1:23:07, 6:21 average, which is a half marathon PR for me by about 15 seconds and 4 minutes faster than when I ran this race 2 years ago.  Temperatures were great for the race.  There was some head wind as we came down the canyon, which probably slowed times a little for everyone.  Probably could have pushed it a little more down the canyon as I felt better than usual the last couple miles and had my fastest mile at mile 12.  Just have to continue to build on this.

Splits:

1- 6:08

2- 6:23

3- 6:30 (uphill part of the mile)

4- 6:30 (uphill part of the mile)

5 & 6- 12:50 (6:25 average, my watch lost satellite coverage so times got message up and had to do manual laps)

7- 6:12

8- 6:22 (out of the canyon)

9- 6:20

10- 6:21

11- 6:18

12- 6:06

13- 6:13

0.1- 0:49

You are definitely knocking on the door of sub 1:20 at DesNews if that's what you have in mind. Seems like an off day for most and you still PRd. You have been getting faster. Age placing in a deep field!

Thanks, guys.

Jeff, it was good to meet you also and I will try and keep up to you at DesNews.

Josh and Fritz, I need to get out with you guys a little more to keep improving my speed.

everything you have done the past few years might as well just be thrown away. You are headed into a different sphere. You will see many pr's over the next year brotha. Nice work and and keep training like you are doing. MIH
